First of all, this article isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a magic pill to build your business to new heights, stop reading now! I don’t want to be guilty of wasting your time.
But, if you’re looking for a magic bullet that will instantly cure your writer’s block (no strings attached!), then you’ll be glad to know that such a magic bullet does exist. And you’ll find it right here.
However, remember I said this wasn’t for everyone? I’ve mentioned the reason below:
- You need to seriously know your niche. If you are entering a niche with little knowledge about it, save this report for a later time. This report will surely help you, but only after you’re more aware of your niche.
- It takes effort. Writing article takes effort. Most of the people are not prepared for this. You better be though.
Now, let’s get to the heart of this devastatingly simple method. I prefer a step-by-step walk-through. Along the way, I also explain why the process works the way it does.
STEP #1 – Pay The Source A Kind Visit
Go to EzineArticles.com (our favourite high quality article site). EZA is becoming more strict about article quality day by day. So, all the new articles appearing have to be hot and unique in at least some way to get approved.
You can assume that the latest articles have at least some degree of quality. Now, pick up the category that best describes your niche:
I’ve just selected a random now, say “Home Based Business”.
HOT TIP
Rather than choosing a category, you can also search EZA’s search feature to search for articles with specific keywords. This helps you to dig deeper into more specific markets. Remember, we only want a list of article related to your niche. Get a list in all creative ways you can think.
STEP #2 – Rip The Content Apart
This is where the process takes a different turn that what others would describe. Now, instead of clicking through each link, finding what they’ve written, and fill your brain with hopeless research – we do something simpler.
To be frank, you’ve already come out of the writer’s block! Let’s take a look at EZA first.
I’ve reduced the font size in the screenshot to capture as many articles as possible. Now comes the real fun part.
If you’ve been in the Internet Marketing scene for some time, you’ll have at least some idea about what these articles might be saying.
You should now take a note of all the article titles that are more or less unique. Now, I mean unique in the sense that no two articles should appear to be conveying the same thing. An example of this is Article #1 and Article #10 in the screenshot above.
Now, once you have copied the unique titles to a text file, you’re ready to go. What you should do is, write down an article title, and then try writing an article that fulfils the promise made in the title.
If your article title is “Work From Home Companies”, write as much about it as you know. Since the niche isn’t alien to you, the feat should be pretty simple to pull off.
But do not, do not and do not click those EZA articles to look what’s inside.
What’s essentially happening is that you bombard yourself with titles of various articles in your niche, and force yourself to write on them. If you have 10 titles, you have 10 more things to write about.
This way, you never run out of ideas. Even though I used EZA as an example, you can use any site you’re comfortable with. Just get a bunch of article titles from somewhere.
There are 2 things happening behind the scenes:
- You can get tonnes of article ideas in your comfortable niche through these article titles
- Since you don’t click on these articles to research what they contain, you write your own opinion, your own best to elaborate more on what the article’s title promises. This avoids duplicate content and ideas. This allows yourself be free about the topic.
But remember to change the article title to something suitable after you’re done!
Examples
I’ve picked some random article titles, and have given a description of what you could write about. This should make the concept clear.
| Article Title | What You Should Write About |
| 3 Easy Ways To Make Money Online | Come on, don’t you know at least three of them? Just mention the three you think are currently lucrative.
If you get too emotional and write too much, then break your article into 3 articles, each dealing with each method. |
| Finding the Right Price for Your Product or Service | Pricing… Everyone has an opinion on them. Sometimes, you use a product that you think was over priced or under priced. Just use that as a case-study on how to set the right price. |
| AdSense – Is It Worth It? | Some people like AdSense because it’s easy to pop into any website. Some people hate the chump change it brings. Whatever your opinion, just write it down with supporting reasons. |
STEP #3 – The Theory of Why This Works
You do have immense knowledge. Many people think they know nothing, but they know a lot. But the place where we fail is the organization of our thoughts. We don’t know where to begin.
Let’s say you’re an IM wizard. And someone comes to you and asks you to teach him IM from scratch. Even though you’re knowledgeable, you won’t know where to start – unless you have some teaching experience.
And this is one aspect of writer’s block. Its not that you have nothing to write about. You have too much things to write about, and you don’t know which.
Thus, you force yourself with article titles. They give you a certain aspect to write about. They give you a degree of focus.
If an IM beginner comes to you and asks, “How do I create PDF files” – you won’t have trouble teaching that. That’s because its a focused question. It has a very specific answer.
This is basically like answering interview questions. When asked a specific interview like question, even a newbie IMer can make up an answer
.
I know, this is a little hard to follow. This is partly because I don’t know how to put it in words effectively. But I’m sure you will intuitively understand what I’m trying to convey.
Well, That’s It
This is a quick way of finding new article ideas. As EZA becomes more and more strict, you’ll find this little exercise more productive.
