What Blogs Really Are

Always understand every bit of what you are dealing with. Blogs are no different. I’m not going to bombard you with definitions from various dictionaries of what blogging is. I am going to explain it in simpler terms, in my own voice.

Blogs are online journals wherein entities express their opinions.

Be it a personal or a professional blog, that statement holds. You will come across spammy blogs wherein the above definition does not hold, and that’s precisely why they are unsuccessful.

In a personal blog, you express your opinion. In a company’s blog, the company expresses its opinion on various stuff related to their niche.

But anything you put in your blog becomes your opinion. Whether you write on Article Marketing, Blogging or any other subject, you subscribe to the idea mentioned in your post, whether it’s original or not.

Blogs are not about “How to make money with article marketing”, they are about “How I believe you should go about making money with article marketing”. This is the “vital” difference between a blog and a website. And I cover the differences in the next chapter.

It is very important for you to know and absorb correctly whatever I’ve said. You may not realize it, but you might be making an implicit incorrect assumption that might be halting your progress.

Don’t agree with what I said? Then you’re not building a blog, all you’re doing is building a website using WordPress. WordPress is only a blogging platform. It’s you who gives the real life to your blog.
